신창용은 홍익대학교 회화과와 동대학 대학원 회화과를 졸업하였다. 그는 인영갤러리와 베이징 MK2 스페이스 등에서 개인전을 하였고 성남 큐브미술관 <명랑미술관>(2020), 서울시립미술관 <BORDER 155>(2018), 글렌데일 시청 도서관 <do the right thing : 위안부 전>, 소버린 아트 프라이즈 탑 30(2007)을 포함하여 130여회 단체전을 했다. 그는 쌈지 스페이스(2006), 베이징의 CSB 창작스튜디오(2007), 베이징 레드게이트(2008), 베이징 헤이챠오 레지던시(2012)에서 창작활동에 집중하였다.

Shin Chang Yong graduated from the department of painting in Hongik University and the same department in the same graduate school. He held fix private exhibits inclulding  Inyoung Gallery, Beijing MK2 SPACE, etc and participated in 130 group exhibits including Sungnam Cube Museum of Art <Myungrang Museum of Art>(2020), Seoul Museum of Art <BORDER 155>(2018), 'library of Glendale city <do the right thing : (dis)comfort women)(2017)>', 'The Sovereign Asian Art Prize top30(2007)'. he is concentrating on creative activities by participating in Ssamzie Space(2006), Creative Studio In Beijing(CSB)(2007), Beijing Red Gate(2008), and Beijing Hei-qiao Art Residency Program(2012).
