원성원은 중앙대학교 예술대학 조소과를 졸업하고 뒤셀도르프 쿤스트 아카데미, 쾰른 미디어예술대학을 졸업했다. 원성원은 현실과 공상이 뒤섞인 독특하고 섬세한 사진 콜라쥬작업을 진행해 왔다. <타인의 풍경>(아라리오 갤러리, 서울, 2017)등 개인전과 <수평의 축>(국립현대미술관 서울관)등 수차례 그룹전을 가졌으며, 현재 도쿄 모리미술관, 국립 현대 미술관, 경기도 미술관, 한미사진미술관, 서울시립미술관등에 작품이 소장되어 있다.

Sung-won Won graduated from Chung-Ang University(Sculpture), Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, and Cologne of University(Media and Arts). Won has been working on a unique and delicate collage work with photographs mixed with reality and fantasy. She has held several solo exhibitions such as <The Sight of the Others> (Arario Gallery, Seoul, 2017) and <Axis of Horizon> (National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul) as well as several group exhibitions. Currently, her works have been collected at Mori Art Museum in Tokyo, National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art, The Museum of Photography, and Seoul Museum of Art.
