김시하는 중국 북경과 한국을 오가며 작품을 선보이다가 최근에는 한국에 거주하고 있다. 가장 최근 전시로는 개인전 <BURN-Cr Collective> (Seoul, 2020)을 개최하였고 <악의사전>(강원국제비엔날레, 2018) <일상의 연금술>(국립현대미술관, 크라이스트처치갤러리, 한국, 뉴질랜드 2004), <미술관 봄 나들이전>(서울시립미술관 2005), <식사의 의미> (고양아람미술관, 2009), <핑야오 국제 사진 페스티벌-핑야오> (산시중국 2010)를 비롯하여 <펑정취안, 김시하 2인전-TN gallery>(베이징, 2008), 그룹전 외, <무대 위의 쌍둥이- space xx> (2017), <시각정원-문화 서울역 RTO space>(2014) 개인전에서도 새로운 작품들을 선보였다. 제주 바다 레지던시와 <Room number 88-290>(미아리 텍사스, 2016), <욕욕욕,시대여관>(2019)전 등에서 기획 및 작가로 활동하며 동료 작가들과 예술적 가치 및 다양한 예술방향에 대해 고민하면서 작업을 지속하고 있다.
